The parish office of homeland security and emergency preparedness, under the parish president, shall lead and support the citizens of St. Landry Parish in preparation for, response to and recovery from all emergencies and disasters, natural or man-made.

What We Do

The parish office of homeland security & emergency preparedness is responsible for establishing and maintaining preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery actions for St. Landry Parish in the event of a natural or man-made disaster. This task is accomplished through the development of a parish-wide emergency operations plan, providing public education and coordinating with other agencies to provide training, resources and response to emergencies.
